Goldfish - how to keep her alive.
Buying a goldfish - piece of cake, keeping her healthy and sound - totally different story. Goldfish jitni dikhti hai utni sidhi nahi. Things to keep in mind before bringing her home: Tank size matters. Minimum of 15 to 20 litres tank is advisable, so that she gets enough space to roam around. Tank should be clean. Free from any chemicals which could harm her like excess salts, detergent residues etc. Should be covered. Tank should have proper lighting system. A small bulb would suffice. Air pump and water heater are equally important. Many varieties of air pump are available but I used the one with water filtering ability. It sucks the tank water from beneath through a filter so that tiny dust particles (even fish poop) get stuck, and expels from top with force and external air mixed.
