Windows 7.5 review

Windows 7.5 [Mango] is the latest update for the so called windows based smart phones [which are not so smart indeed]. It’s completely transformed from the previous version. Now it looks more like an OS made for cell phones and not a compact XP. If you are not a smart phone user but wish to feel the smartness than you can give this a try. Mango won’t put your head on fire with plenty of useless options. If you are one who finds it difficult to locate the call log of a smart phone than this is just for you. In short, a non-geek can get his hands dirty without a user’s manual. Let’s put some flash on its unique features. Mango threads e-mail messages and text messages, so separate pieces of the same conversation wind up in a single place. So it gets a lot easier to be in touch. Windows market place is not much flooded with apps [just 18000 to be precise] but will keep you entertained! Bing vision is yet another impressive option. Scans barcodes of any kind, books, dvds, etc,...

Always think positive

If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you don’t. If you like to win, but you think you can’t It is almost certain you wont If you think you will lose, you are lost For out in this world we find, Success begins with a fellow’s will It is all in the state of mind. If you think you are outclassed, you are You have got to think high to rise You have got to be sure of yourself Before you can ever win a prize Life’s battle don’t always go To the stronger or faster man, But sooner or later the man who wins Is the man who thinks he can!

Global Warming

Recently I read an article on global warming. It was basically regarding how to bring the global temperature to favorable level. It states that by launching tiny glass pieces in space which can reflect UV radiation, it can be made possible to achieve the target. They even specify regarding all the requirements too. It would take 6 years to complete and another 25 years to show us the actual effect. We need to cover the space which is between sun and earth. That is a huge area. It would take up to 15 billion such tiny lenses to do so. But the condition is all should be in good working condition and not broken. It we try to do so by missiles than, one missile or rocket can take up to 100,000 lenses only. So we need almost 157,680 rockets in total. Even if they are launched at an interval of 20 minutes each, than to it would take 6 years to finish the task. I.e. 2190 days. One rocket can cost up to 20 million. And so the final cost reach up to 3,153,600,000,000 Rs. i.e. ...

Think-"BIG"

This is something which we don’t usually get to hear. Not when it comes to our close ones. They say think in a limit. But I don’t agree with them. I believe in thinking big. This is what makes you think broadly and get into the depth of every detail. Thinking big does not imply to a particular stuff. But you need to think where and when to use it. When you want to study, think big! Study more. This is what is expected by our elders. Literally it does apply to it, but we don’t like to apply-that’s the thing. When it comes to BAD habits, never think big. I mean try to avoid it. Here, I refer to really big changes which can take effect by small steps. If you stop wasting water, electricity and other land resources, than it is definitely going to make a difference. Agree that the difference is tiny to be noticed at a large scale instantly. But come on, it’s not an impulsive force which can act instantly. Everything needs to be ignited to achieve the target. This is the ign...

Last Minute

A little while ago, me and some of my friends had a bit of chat with Rajiv sir(our physics professor). Don't know from where, but topic shifted to Life and death. And as usual sir fired a question at us. "Just Imagine (Krrish the movie wala just imagine), you have just a minute to spend  before your death. and it's sure that you are going to die. so what would you like to do in such a scenario?" at first instance that sounded to be a normal question and as usual i took it very lightly, as if it was never gonna happen. And i said that i would like to eat chocolate. Now that was childish i know but that's the first thought strikes in my mind when he asked so. Maybe i wanted to eat it at that time. cant say!!!! And like me, even others answered. But all of them were a bit foolish answers like mine. Later he said, go home and think deeply regarding this before you sleep. And I did just that. And guess what, i did'nt sleep that night. For a while, i t...

Tribute to Steve Jobs

Steve jobs [February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011] was born in San Francisco. His biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate, and she decided to put him up for adoption. Paul Reinhold Jobs (1922-1993) and Clara Jobs (1924-1986) were his new parents. Steve attended Monta Loma Elementary, Cupertino Junior High and Homestead High School in Cupertino, California. Later joined Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He decided to drop the course after only 1 semester, mainly because he could not afford the course. The financial difficulties didn’t stop the young man’s passion, he rolled auditing classes at Reed College. Since then, he collected and returned Coke bottles just to get himself some food money, and got his weekly free meals at the local Hare Krishna temple.           Jobs’ first job was with Hewlett-Packard, as a summer employee. He then took a job as a techn...
