Project Collision

Let me share one of my many yet unattended projects.  

About one of my friend - for convenience and secrecy purpose, let’s call him Prof. X.

So this Prof. X was in LOVE with a girl (G). Sure this says a lot about him. Firstly he is a boy (not a man) in his twenties, Loves a girl - just like a normal teenager but isn't a playboy to get her easily.

It’s more of a fling than LUV (that's writer’s personal opinion). He's just another boy having sense of desire, a want rather than need.

Firstly LOVE is off the table. Let’s just say he wanna be friends with her. Unfortunately, the mistress isn't from same class but from same college. So for the sole purpose of igniting their friendship, he seeks help. Help from a guy (Y) to get him in touch with her. As this was the most awaited task for Y to get hands on, he sought out help from a girl (Z) with prior permission and discussion on consequences with Prof. X.

Now Y and Z are on the run to fetch G for X. (Literally fetching cause we might have to lure her if we would have gone far, as she wasn’t an easy prey [This doesn’t mean predators were amateur. Man! They are pros]).

As we belong to the group designated _Homo Sapiens_, the creature tends to have several desires and traits which he/she expect from their mating partner. So was the case with G. Her sheer grace was enough to make boys pop out their eyes and drool. On the other hand, Prof X's grace was...…ummm…let’s say there was something. Let’s not go deep into that. So I guess you got the plot.

Y and Z's sole task was to make the two atoms collide and the rest was to be left to fate. Considering CERN investing trillions of dollars on LHC, collision isn’t a child’s play. They were no child, yet the idea of bringing together two radioactive and thermodynamically unstable entities in close vicinity was enough to tremble them.

So the project was halted for some time. And through mutual understanding, it wasn’t suppose to be brought out until sometime.

A couple of months later.....

Exam time. Heightened tension, pissing out of frustration, and the least expected happens (again). Prof X enquires about the status of work assigned to Y and Z. Considering the time and the amount of pressure experienced by both the bodies, they couldn’t make any progress and were about to express the same. His heart shattered. Although it regain its aurora in no time when he heard a backup plan from Y.

Prof X was supposed to work hard on it and Y & Z were to watch his actions and make sure wouldn’t make any mistake, but due to some reason - sole reason (Classified) - he couldn’t get past a few steps.

Now all the burden of the task was thrived upon already piled up shoulders of Y & Z. And there was no escape.

There was a harsh truth which was to be revealed by Y & Z. Something which was assumed by them to be true and also which would have been true, given the current circumstances. But they couldn’t. Due to the fact that Prof. X is their friend and didn’t wanted to cut loose his enthusiasm and his belief in himself. (Although which never came into action neither to our rescue).

So again by mutual understanding they decide to step aside and delay the project as much possible.

Even today, it stays an unfinished task. Something which Y & Z doesn’t wish to show the light of the day.
